Grant Research Assistant (EV Battery Recycling)

Possible Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days onsite per week.
**The Role**:
We are on the lookout for a passionate Grant Research Assistant to join a small but mighty team, dedicated to securing funding from key UK government bodies including the Faraday Battery Challenge, SMART, Innovate UK, Climates and the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC).
This role is instrumental in driving our mission to revolutionise EV battery recycling and champion sustainable practices in the industry. This will involve in-depth research using third party sources, as well as collaboration with the management team to understand and support both the technical and business aspects of the grants.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Research Market Trends: Using third party sources (APC, BNEF, McKinsey, etc) around supply chains, business models, target markets, customer segmentation, competing/existing technologies, regulations and forecasting growth rates.
- Appendix Creation: Develop comprehensive and persuasive appendices, such as Gantt charts, Risk Registers and other documents as needed to provide supplementary information and evidence to strengthen our grant proposals.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with a wide variety of internal teams, including R&S Scientists, finance and management, to gather essential insights and information for inclusion in grant proposals.
- Document Organisation: Maintain organisation of all documents and information, ensuring seamless collaboration within the team and efficient access to necessary materials.
- Manage Deadlines: Work closely with the grant writing team to meet tight deadlines for grant submissions, demonstrating unwavering commitment to punctuality and precision..
**What You’ll Bring**:
- Experience and confidence in conducting thorough research, gathering technical data and presenting findings.
- Genuine interest in the technical side of Altilium’s mission and a passion for our cause.
- Expert MS Word, Excel and data management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with ability to organise and present information in a compelling manner.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information with clarity and persuasiveness.
- Strong team player, comfortable working in a small fast-paced team and startup environment.
- An understanding of chemistry, a technical background in mining or battery recycling are all advantageous but not essential.
