Founded in 1875 Nicholls and Clarke Group are a manufacturer, distributor and retailer of building materials throughout the UK with a network of retail and distribution centres. We have a committed team of over 450 people supplying building materials tothe trade and retail markets.

**The Role - Warehouse Supervisor**:
As our Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for 8-10 Warehouse Operatives, ensuring a safe working environment and supervising and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and performance.

You will have previous experience in managing/supervising staff in a warehouse environment and will have some experience working in the sanitary and tiles industry.

**Role responsibilities - Warehouse Supervisor**:

- Reporting directly to the Warehouse manager.
- To provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.
- Measure and report the effectiveness off warehousing activities and employees performance.
- Supervise and control order picking, stock replenishment and everyday duties.
- Identify training needs to ensure all operatives are trained in accordance with the company operating procedures
- Ensure equipment has the relevant checks made and records maintained

**Requirements - Warehouse Supervisor**:

- Previous experience in a similar role in a warehouse environment is essential
- Previous experience dealing with sanitary ware is desirable
- Proven background in the supervision of staff
- FLT Counterbalance Licence is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional, positive and approachable
- Attention to detail
