**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the sales team by providing administrative and operational support, ensuring the smooth functioning of the sales process. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational and communication skills.
**Customer Communication**:
- Engage with customers to cultivate relationships, gather information, address inquiries, and deliver top-notch service.
- Qualify sales leads using a variety of communication methods.
**Order Processing**:
- Process sales orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure orders are fulfilled and prioritised/delivered on time.
**Documentation and Record Keeping**:
- Maintain organized records of sales activities, customer interactions, and order details in the CRM.
- Prepare and maintain sales reports for management.
**Product Knowledge**:
- Develop an understanding of the products or services offered by the company.
- Assist customers in understanding product features and benefits.
**Sales Team Support**:
- Work closely with the sales team to organise activities, handling issues as they arise on an ad hoc basis, all the while maintaining a commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Assist the sales team in creating and submitting credible forecasts, including their short-, medium-, and long-term plans.
- Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.
**Problem Resolution**:
- Address and resolve customer concerns or issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments to solve problems related to orders or deliveries.
**Data Analysis**:
- Collate and analyse sales data and competitor information to drive effective decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for improving the sales processes and customer satisfaction.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a sales support role or similar position.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
