Laboratory Supervisor

**Role Summary**
Due to increased growth we are looking to recruit Laboratory Supervisor, based from our facility in South Manchester. As a Laboratory Supervisor at Hall Analytical, you will be a vital part of providing technical and managerial support, enabling our laboratory to function efficiently and effectively.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Responsible for compliance with all regulatory and Company requirements in relation to Quality, Health and Safety
- To understand the responsibilities of Study Personnel as specified under GLP regulations and provide support where necessary
- Provide cover for Laboratory manager when required for tasks such as attendance at key meetings and scheduling for the laboratory
- Engage in continuous improvement in the laboratory and work with laboratory manager on improving ways of working
- To assist the laboratory manager in building and maintaining a group of high performing technicians
- To support the wet laboratory technicians operational activities, showing leadership, initiative and support for the team
- Support with preparation for audits, inspections and visits to the laboratory
- Ensure training records, progress tracking for studies and study records are all up to date
- To mentor, train and support wet laboratory technicians, sharing technical knowledge and know how
- Communicate effectively with team members and colleagues across departments ensuring all deadlines are reasonably met
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with agreed deadlines and all issues are escalated in a right manner
- The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the company and the overall business objectives
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of A levels or Degree in chemistry or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a related industry and/or familiarity and knowledge of current methods and processes
- In-date training in Good Laboratory Practice (Study Staff )
- Supervisory experience
