About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to lead our Construction Materials Testing Laboratory, specializing in asphalt, concrete, and soil testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to quality assurance in civil engineering materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory operations for asphalt, concrete, and soil testing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, EN, or equivalent).
  • Oversee sample collection, preparation, and testing procedures to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage and train lab technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Review and approve test reports before submission to clients and project teams.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained.
  • Coordinate with site engineers and project managers on material quality and compliance issues.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports and participate in internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in construction materials testing (asphalt, concrete, and soil).
  • Strong knowledge of international testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, or EN).
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior lab technician role is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and laboratory management systems.
