**Residential Support Worker (Children's home)**

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people? We are in search of a residential children's support worker to join our Children's Home in Northampton.

You will be working with a friendly and close-knit team who have lots of experience providing support and care to children and young people who are vulnerable in society.

You will have the opportunity to complete training and further develop your career. You will need to have experience working with children and young people, working in a team and have knowledge / experience of Ofsted standards.

Qualifications at Level 3 Health and Social Care / Children's and Young Persons Workforce is advantageous. We also welcome applicants who have experience of Ofsted standards and those from education, probation, youth work/services or the care sector.

You will be working a range of shifts to cover the rota, shift patterns vary and flexi-shifts available. You will also be required to work at least two weekends each month.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To provide a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment in which our YP can feel secure and free from harm.
- Ensuring that each YP's care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.
- Attending to practical matters in relation to childcare (cooking, cleaning, general maintenance around the home and garden etc)
- To be a positive role model, to be able to offer advice, guidance and assistance where appropriate.
- Establishing professional relationships which YP's perceive to be positive, warm, and rewarding.

Starting salary: £11.50 per hour, with plenty of opportunities for career progression, including ongoing training and the opportunity to achieve a NVQ Level 4 qualification.

For this role, we will carry out a DBS check and referencing checks as part of safer recruitment.

**Salary**: £11.50-£13.00 per hour

- 12 hour shift
