We're looking for a Children's Residential Care Team Leader to support the Registered Manager by leading the day-to-day management of a shift. We are a 3-bedroom home in Salford for young people with mental health needs. Be a part of our residential team and help make a difference to a young person's life every day.

**Salary**:£12.45 per hour

**Location**:Salford (M7 postcode)

**Hours**:40 hours per week, day, night, waking night, sleep in shifts

**About our service**

We are a 3-bedroom home in Salford for young people with mental health needs. The home works closely with a psychologist, who supports the team to be able to offer a therapeutic environment for young people to enable them to express and manage their emotions and learn new coping skills which they can take with them to use in later life.

**The role**

You will support the Registered Manager by leading the day-to-day management of a shift. This will involve providing practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team in supporting the young people they support to achieve their goals and aspirations.

**About you**

As a member of the team you will need a real passion for providing a high standard of support that enables our young people to be as independent as they can, learn and develop through education and experience, stay healthy and most importantly, have a fun, fulfilling life. It is essential to:

- Hold a NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Have previous experience supporting children and young people with mental health issues (self-harming behaviours, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders)
- Experience of leading a shift and team
- Administering medication
- Supervisions, appraisals
- Be available to commit to working across a variety of shifts on a rota basis

You will be required to undergo relevant pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS.

**Salary**: £12.45 per hour
