Chepstow, United Kingdom Bidfood Full time

**About the role**:
**Where could your journey take you next?**

In foodservice, no two days are ever the same. Fast-paced, dynamic, and always evolving - we’re looking for someone ready to step into the next stage of their career journey.

**What you’ll bring to the journey**:

- A strong administrative background in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ideally with ambitions to grow your career in HR.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the curiosity to spot opportunities for improvement and the drive to make them happen.
- Confident communication skills that help you build great relationships with colleagues, managers, and stakeholders across the business.
- A positive, proactive, and optimistic approach - with plenty of energy and enthusiasm along the way.
- A true team player who enjoys getting involved and is proud of being part of the team

If this sounds like the next step you’ve been looking for, why not make **our journey your journey**?

**The role you’ll play on the journey**

As an HR Assistant, you’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting around 8,000 employees across the UK. Together, you’ll provide first-class HR service and ensure every stage of the employee journey is a positive experience.

You’ll:

- Manage multiple dashboards and shared mailboxes, triaging to internal HR departments
- Prioritising effectively to meet service-level agreements
- Play your part in wider business projects where HR expertise is essential

**The details**
- This is a hybrid role, with two days a week in our Chepstow office. And you'll spend a bit more time in the office during your training to help you settle in.
- 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

**The journey ahead**

We’re on an exciting people transformation journey - introducing smarter systems, self-service tools, and new technologies that reduce admin and free us to focus on what really matters: adding value to our people and the business.

This is your chance to grow, develop, and shape your career while helping us shape the future of HR.

**About us**:
Our journey began back in 1929. Since then, we’ve continued to build a strong and resilient business with a great future. It's why we believe we’re the best foodservice provider in the country.

**A journey that gives back**

We want your career with us to be as rewarding as possible. So, you’ll get lots in return for your hard work. That includes benefits that can support your wellbeing and financial security, and give you peace of mind.

**The essentials**
- 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) as a minimum and the opportunity to buy more
- A pension - contribute 4% and we’ll match you (after year 1, we’ll match your contributions up to 6%).
- Life cover that you can increase.
- Access to confidential support and counselling, when you need it.
- A health plan that gives you money back on everyday medical costs for all the family, as well as access to a digital GP.

**The extras**
- Exclusive range of high street discounts including cinema, tech, travel, fashion, food and drink.
- Get paid as you earn - access to up to 20% of your pay before payday.
- Opportunity to buy dental cover and critical illness cover.

**We want everyone to join our journey**

We’re on a journey towards creating the best possible workplace. We’ve got some way to go, but we’re building a diverse and caring workforce. One that’s filled with forward-thinking people who each bring unique talents and skills. So whatever your life experience, we want you to join us - and you really can come as you are
