Your role as the Finance Assistant will be to assist and provide supporting cover to the finance department, duties will include:
- Control of purchase ledger, ensuring all supplier accounts are kept up to date in a timely and accurate manner and that all supplier communications are managed in a professional way
- Periodic reconciliations of stock supplier accounts
- Assist with all sales ledger activities, including credit control and management of aged debtors, dealing with customer queries and processing card payments
- Posting and reconciliation of SagePay account
- Processing all staff expense claims and reconciling company credit cards
- Carry out all related month end procedures as part of overall control of sales and purchase ledgers

**Experience / Qualifications**:

- Recognised accountancy qualification (AAT or equivalent) (essential)
- Experience of working in a distribution or retail business (desirable)
- Good IT skills, notably Microsoft Office and Excel (essential)

**Skills / Attributes**:

- Excellent communication skills in all forms
- Accurate processing skills and excellent attention to detail
- Highly organised and must be a self-starter with a proven ability to multi-task, use their own initiative to solve problems
- Reliable and committed approach to work
