**Job Title: Claims Handler - Third Parties Insurance**

**Location: Flexible, Head office in Tunbridge Wells, Kent**

**Salary: Up to £21,500 basic salary depending on experience, with a performance related bonus on top**

**Hours: Full Time opportunities available**

**Shifts: Shift pattern between the hours of 08:00 -18:00 Monday - Friday**

We are looking for a **Third Party Claims Handler **to join our **Fault** team, who is a **confident communicator** with a **keen eye for detail**. This is a brilliant opportunity and time to join the **AA**, due to planned growth for this area.

**This is the job**:
Our customers may have been through a stressful or difficult experience when they are calling to discuss a claim they have made. As a confident communicator, you’ll be a friendly voice on the end of the phone, building connections and putting them at ease as you support and advise them.

You’ll be comfortable handling challenging conversations professionally, with the customers’ best interests at heart. You’ll have an eye for detail too, assisting you to accurately complete your claim reviews.

This is a small area of the AA, so there is a lot of opportunity for change. I progressed from the role of Personal Injury Handler to Team Leader within 2 years. The team work very hard, but there is a laid-back feel within the department. Autonomy is key which allows our Call Handlers the ability to deal with and make decisions on their own portfolios and some of the cases can be quite complex, which keeps things interesting.

**What will I be doing?**:
As a Third-Party Claims Handler, you will be responsible for a portfolio of motor claims where we are responsible for the third-party insurer claim costs.

Using the tools at your disposal, you will be reviewing payment packs presented by the third-party insurers, finding any anomalies, and disputing any costs which we are not legally responsible to pay, with no avoidable litigation against us.

Whilst doing this, you will be expected to manage our customers’ expectations and will have the overall responsibility of the financial upkeep of your portfolio.

**What do I need?**:
We’re looking for someone who:

- **Experience working in a motor claims role or previous work in accountancy or invoicing preferable**:

- **Great customer service skills**:

- **Accuracy and attention to detail**:

- Ability to utilise qualities such as empathy, tact, assertiveness, and diplomacy
- Ability to take on increased ownership and responsibility when necessary
