An excellent opportunity to work for an organisation has recently completed the largest business transformation programme in its 75-year history, which implemented a new ERP system (Oracle Fusion Cloud), new processes and ways of working across the Finance,Procurement and People functions.

The role holder will play a critical part in enabling the organisation to leverage the benefits from this implementation by transforming data from our systems into insights that will drive business decisions and performance. The purpose of this role is toplay a leadership role in creating and implement a data management strategy, structure, tools and controls for core business processes. This role will enable the transformation in business analytics while maintaining core data

**Principle Accountabilities**

Leadership of the Business Services Data Management & Insights team within the Business Services function, including career development, building the team and business capabilities, providing guidance, setting standards, and leveraging analytical expertiseto deliver better business outcomes. Developing and automating reporting, business analytics and insight tools and capabilities with focus on self-service

Ownership and continual development of Master Data Management strategies, structure and controls and overall data governance framework to ensure data integrity is rigorously and robustly managed and maintained and work requests are prioritised

Represent Business Services in the company's systems and technology strategy. Ensuring that the organisation is utilising and leveraging existing technologies, including Oracle Fusion, to get the maximum benefits these technologies provide. Influence thedevelopment of our data infrastructure and tooling to ensuring the business is equipped to make data-driven decisions

Act as an advocate for industry best practice across the organisation on Data and Insight, coach the organisation and its senior leaders to ensure the business understand how to use and maximise those capabilities. Champion a data first approach and culture.Continually seeking to use data to unlock new insights and capability within the business. Working with the senior business stakeholders to provide business intelligence, insight and reporting solutions that enable timely and effective decision making. Championinga business partnership approach understanding the business needs now and in the future to provide business analytics and Insight capabilities to the organisation, to enable improved and more timely decision making

Play the change orientated role in Business Services leadership team and within Heads of Department peer group to drive cultural change across the organisation with respect to data management and analytics.

Implement reporting and insight capabilities that can track and measure financial and non-financial indicators including carbon impact, informing proposed initiatives and business decisions

Thought leadership in the identification, development, and delivery of BI solutions
- Propose and lead these initiatives to deliver against priorities
- Ensure a robust development and delivery process

Qualifications and Experience

Demonstrable experience of establishing and leading a Business Intelligence and Data Management function, defining and implementing BI and data strategies, and providing BI insights and capabilities to a large-scale organisation

Extensive experience of Cloud ERP systems and associated BI and data capabilities - Oracle Fusion is preferred

Ability to build relationships and influence all levels of the business and external stakeholders. With experience of engaging and influencing senior level stakeholders.

Demonstrable experience of using BI and data to inform business decisions and strategies

A broad understanding of the processes and data structures associated with the Record-to-Report, Hire-to-Retire, Projects-to-Retire, Source-to-Pay and Service-to-Cash workstreams

Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning techniques and other Cloud Platforms (e.g. Azure)

Knowledge of machine learning techniques, such as predictive modelling, regression, classification, clustering, and reinforcement learning

Knowledge of modern data architecture, including cloud and distributed computing and experience working with data warehouse, business intelligence solutions, databases, and programming frameworks

Ability to understand and interpret business strategy and identifying how meaningful BI can be used to inform business decisions for example bring sustainability strategies

A highly effective communicator capable of taking complex data and distilling it into actionable business stories
