Location: Main office: Hope In Care Services, Peak House, Office 7, Greaves Road, Rotherham, S61 1SZ but you will be required to work from locations within South Yorkshire at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.

**Responsibilities and Duties of the Job**

Role Specific Duties:
supporting people with social and physical activities

booking and going with people to appointments

helping with personal care such as support with showering and dressing

supporting people with nutrition and hydration

the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload

good listening and communication skills

the ability to understand and follow policies and procedures

good writing skills to fill in documentation.

Promoting independence as far as possible

Personal Responsibilities:
Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training

**Desirable but not essential**

GCSE - Maths and English (A-C)

Qualifications in Care, Desirable

Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Proficient Written Skills
Ensure accurate and legible records are kept

Communication Skills

Regularly seek feedback from all service users and respond to those changes
Knowledge of various communicative methods to communicate with

Specific Requirement for Previous Experience

Previous experience of working in a similar environment

Knowledge of working within a multidisciplinary team

Previous experience of working as a care worker. Experience of working with vulnerable people.

Experience of working with Service Users who have additional support needs

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £8.70-£10.50 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All carer are expected to wear full PPE when attending to service users in their own homes. Also to carry out lateral flow tests twice weekly.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Rotherham, S61 1SZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
