Buzz Parks in Llanishen is Wales’ most exciting trampoline and inflatable park. We welcome customers 7 days a week for the bounciest fun in town and we have an exciting opportunity available for the right individual to join our customer facing team with responsibility for supervising our cafe and the staff working there.

This is a varied role working in a busy and energetic leisure venueNo two days at Buzz are quite the same It includes responsibility for H&S checks and documentation.

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person to bring their previous supervisory or team leading experience to the team. We need someone who can work all weekend and pick up extra hours during the busy school holidays.

**Role**
- To lead the operation of the trampoline park’s café during opening hours, with a strong focus on customer service
- To make sure that the café is fully stocked at all times, with sufficient items in storage to cope with busier times
- To supervise the delivery of birthday parties at the trampoline park, with a particular focus on the provision of food and drinks
- To support the General Manager in running the café, implementing policies and procedures, undertaking checks, and making improvements to operations

**Main Responsibilities**
- Lead the operation of the café to ensure that customers are receiving excellent service in a pleasant and clean environment, responding to issues quickly and efficiently during opening hours.
- Maintain a gross profit level of more than 50%
- Actively monitor stock levels across all sales lines and place orders with suppliers in a timely fashion. This includes being prepared for group bookings and parties, and monitoring future bookings at the park to ensure suitable stock levels are maintained.
- Order items in the most cost-effective way to maximise profitability. Work closely with sales reps and monitor suppliers’ prices to ensure that our costs are as low as possible.
- Supervise the operation of birthday parties to ensure that the customer’s expectations are being met. Ensure that the parties assistants are working in an organised and efficient way, offering coaching and guidance as required. Ensure that the food and drink elements of the parties meet our standards and are delivered accurately and on-time to the party rooms.
- Ensure that daily checks, such as fridge temperature, are completed and signed off in line with procedures.
- Ensure that the café is clean and inviting to all prior to opening and remains that way during opening hours. Cleaning and tidying during the day as required.
- Ensure that food preparation and storage areas are always clean and tidy. Undertake deep cleaning of food preparation areas and equipment (e.g., coffee machine) in line with company schedules.
- Prepare sandwiches, toasties, and paninis for sale to a high standard, ensuring accurate date and ingredient labelling.
- Supervise café assistants during their shift to ensure that they are meeting the requirements of their role, offering coaching and guidance as required.
- Be available to respond to customer feedback and complaints in an appropriate manner, in line with the Customer Complaints Policy.
- Train new café assistants on the requirements of the role, including barista skills, the safe re-heating of food, and hygiene procedures.
- Lead by example in providing exemplary customer services to all customers.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and enjoyable working environment with team working at its centre.
- Upsell, and encourage café staff to upsell, additional items and services whenever possible to maximise sales and profitability.
- Provide the park’s management with ideas and suggestions for improvements which could be made to any aspect of the operation of the café.

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Assist the park’s team with the preparation of food and drink for parties, group bookings, and exclusive hire events at the park.
- Accurately ‘cash up’ the till at the end of the day, ensuring that cash handling procedures are followed.
- Undertake a monthly stock take of all café stock, reporting this back to the accounts team and company senior management.
- Brief the park’s management on any issues (customer, staff, safety or other) that they need to be aware of in a timely fashion.
- Work with the General Manager to ensure that café procedures are being always followed and that the café’s 5-star hygiene rating is maintained.
- Attend company meetings and meetings with sales reps as required, either alongside, or deputising for, the General Manager.
- Be fully conversant in all products, activities and deals offered by the trampoline park so that you can answer general queries from customers.
- Be a ‘Community Ambassador’ for Buzz Parks in the wider community and especially when talking with key stakeholders (e.g. schools, Scouts/Brownies etc).
