We are currently looking for a brilliant People & HR Coordinator to join our MM team. This is a hands-on role supporting the people Cycle from beginning to end. You will dedicate your time between: recruitment & on-boarding, learning & development & other people admin tasks, such as employee relations and payroll.

You will work closely with the operations & site managers as well as HQ to understand the needs of the business and provide support on L&D, ER and recruitment needs.

A strong part of the MM family, you will work alongside the Head of Operations and the Board offering support to sites and HQ & only recruiting the right people for our teams, that their journey is the best that it can be and there is a strong learning & development culture within MM.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Recruitment:

- Onboarding:

- Contracts, offer letters sent, new starter documentation, Right to Work Checks, inductions booked & delivered
- Learning & Development:

- Delivering group training sessions around Induction, service skills and any other business needs, and managing our LMS System.
- Liaise with external partners for relevant training such as Fire marshal, First Aid and Licensing.
- Manager the team and management reviews calendar and support Ops to ensure teams have comprehensive development plans.
- New Site Openings:

- As we are fast growing, you will also be part of new site openings and hands on to ensure recruitment & training is delivered to the highest standards.
- Work with the Head of Operations to set up HR, L&D and payroll for new sites.
- Systems:

- Structure, implement, manage and maintain the People system (Harri) including workforce management, talent acquisition, and payroll.
- Assist with training for systems & HR processes for managers and HQ.
- Offboarding:

- assisting with exit interviews and terminating on system.
- People admin:

- HR administrative duties, such as contracting, paperwork and payroll admin.
- Maintain the People & HR SharePoint folder to ensure all sites and managers have access to up to date toolkits and templates.
- Take care of the maternity process
- risk assessments, processing MATB1 forms and providing information on entitlements to expectant parents
- Provide HR Support & Advice for the Ops team in line with our Staff Handbook, escalating to a more senior level when necessary
- Assist with the grievance & disciplinary process
- arranging hearings, note-taking and updating records if required
- Get involved in Employee Engagement initiatives e.g. internal newsletter, team events, birthday celebrations
- Monthly payroll processing
- collecting payroll info from HQ and Ops and liaising with the Finance team external payroll provider to ensure SSP, SMP, holidays etc are processed correctly
- Looking after the company pension scheme and any other benefits
- Respond to employee queries on HR/Payroll related issues
- General admin, creating and updating templates to ensure smooth HR processes
- Report on monthly KPIs e.g. turnover, absences, time to hire.

**Criteria**:

- CIPD qualified of equivalent
- Highly organised with exceptional time management skills
- Hospitality experience and having worked in restaurants as part of a People Team or as a manager
- Excellent communication skills, approachable, bubbly and friendly
- Flexible, calm and confident
- Experience in delivering group training sessions
- Great knowledge of Microsoft Office package, including Power Point & Excel
- Experience in using People, Payroll & LMS/ATS systems
- Experience in being part of growing hospitality groups & new site openings desirable.

- Works alongside/with: Senior Site GM, HQ and the Board
- Where it is based: MM Head Office in E&C, with 1 or two days/week homeworking.
- Salary banding: 28K to 30k
