GSL Education is currently seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently graduated and is looking to gain experience in a school setting or for someone who is seeking a flexible working schedule.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting teachers in the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons
- Supporting students with their learning and progress
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
- Providing feedback to teachers about student progress and engagement
- Undertaking administrative tasks such as marking and record-keeping

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and manage classroom behaviour
- A passion for working with young people and supporting their learning
- A good general education, including English and Math's GCSE grades A-C or equivalent

Desirable:

- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Knowledge of the UK education system
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures
