We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months. Reporting into our Head of Finance, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who has some prior experience in a similar role to join a busy, enthusiastic Finance team and gain some further experience in a varied role that crosses all functions.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for accurate processing, coding, and matching of purchase invoices in accordance with company policies.
- Performing supplier statement reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Timely management of internal and external purchase invoice and payment queries, escalating where required.
- Preparing, posting, and recording supplier payment runs.
- Process and generate sales invoices, credit note, reminder letters and statements.
- Providing proactive assistance to the Credit Services team to achieve collection targets.
- Assist the Management Accounts team including maintaining the asset register, accruals, prepayments, and other monthly journals.
- Daily and monthly treasury tasks including bank reconciliations and bank view.
- Assisting in driving forward process enhancements and procedural efficiencies.

**Experience & Skills**:

- AAT qualified or part-qualified with experience in a similar industry is desirable.
- Effective communicator.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Must possess drive and desire to succeed and develop.

**Salary & Benefits**:
The salary for this role will be up to £30,000 per annum, depending on previous experience within a similar role. We also have a competitive quarterly bonus scheme for all employees.

**Location & Hours**:
Usual working location will be at our office based in Kemble, Gloucestershire. We also have a flexible Hybrid Working policy which enables a mix of office and home working.

Our working hours are Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00/09:00-17:30 & Friday 08:30-16:30/09:00-17:00.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: Up to £30,000.00 per year
