**The Role**:
Our team is growing We're currently looking to hire a **Standards Technician** at our coastal office in Weymouth. Do you love working in a fun, forward-thinking environment? Then we love you Join us at ASM

The role will document standard parts, vendor parts, materials, and surface finishes supporting ongoing engineering projects across Munich & Weymouth.

You will:

- Document vendor catalogue parts in NX & Teamcenter such that they can be transacted within the business.
- Document standard parts in NX & Teamcenter such that they can be transacted within the business.
- Generate and maintain material data sheets for newly requested materials and append these to Teamcenter so that they can be referred to in technical documentation.
- Generate and maintain surface finish datasheets for newly requested finishes and append these to Teamcenter so that they can be referred to in technical documentation.
- Update standard parts in released module BoMs with the latest preferred standards as required to enable the transition of the product between vendors and/or manufacturing locations.
- Electrical changes for CAD Models - Support Electrical Team with the implementation of ECR Changes that affect CAD BOM’s.
- MSDS Documents - Create and update as required MSDS Documents for ASM Products.
- ECR Reviews - Review all ECR’s, Content check, ensure that they are progressing, and prioritise critical ECR’s for business.
- Harmonise standard parts, materials, and surface finishes between Weymouth & Munich.

**About You**:
We’re looking for a fun and enthusiastic individual to join our team

You will have:

- Completed a mechanical, mechatronic or production engineering apprenticeship or have relevant work experience.
- A minimum BTEC ONC in mechanical, mechatronic or production engineering.
- Evidence of working on own initiative, with mínimal supervision.
- The ability to build stable and valuable working relationships with both internal and external customers.
- The ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels in the organisation.
- The ability to manage your own time and workload to deliver against agreed targets set both on short-term and medium-term timescales.
- Previous experience in a modern engineering environment associated with product design and development.
- The ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities and schedules.
- Experience with Siemens NX version 11.
- Experience with Teamcenter version 11.
- The ability to confidently chair meetings.
- The ability to work additional hours occasionally.
- Be able to build stable and valuable working relationships and develop functional influence quickly across a range of business units and cultures.
- Promote, through example, good ethical values and cultural sensitivity, especially when dealing with colleagues and users in/from other global locations.
- Demonstrate the ability to work to and achieve multiple deadlines whilst always maintaining a professional image.
