We are looking for an Admissions Coordinator to join our team in Women's Services based at Colchester General Hospital. We are a busy, friendly department sitting within our Women & Children's Division.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team providing a service for the elective and planned admissions function. Additionally they need to be in close liaison with consultants, patients, medical and nursing staff, supporting our services and service managers.

The post holder will be expected to be responsible for the diary system for Consultants and will need to develop and maintain a close working relationship in order to ensure maximum effect in the management or the waiting list for their area. Adherence to the rules agreed within the ‟18 Weeks Referral to Treatment‟ standards, and Cancer wait times and the Trust’s Access Policy are key requirements of the post.

You must possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with excellent keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must have the ability to be able to work under pressure with a flexible approach to workloads, delivering excellent patient care.
