Full Job Description: Finance Manager | Manchester
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a growing and passionate manufacturing business based in Trafford Park, Manchester. The Company is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to play a key role in the next phase of theGroup’s growth.
Responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the Business, along with the monthly management accounts for the UK businesses, cash management and associated in monthly financial reporting, you will report directly into the CFO.
As an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional, you will have experience of financial reporting within a manufacturing business.
Your duties will include:
Producing monthly management accounts supported by balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports
Variance analysis on a monthly basis with commentary
Assisting in commercial and operational decision making through meaningful analysis
Managing all costs and expenditure according to budget
Controlling daily cash flow with on-time supplier payment, customer collections and stock management
Managing the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including payroll, invoicing and other transaction
Quarterly VAT submissions
Ensuring all financial controls are in place and be responsible for developing reports in the system
You will have the following;
Ideally CIMA/ACCA qualified - those part qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered
Experience of management accounting within a manufacturing environment
Strong excel / IT skills and preferably experience of using SAGE
Strong organisational skills
Good communication skills across all levels of stakeholders with the ability to influence and persuade
Able to demonstrate development of reports and system improvements
Excellent attention to detail
Proven team player
