Job Title: Caretaker

Location: Walcot Hall, Lydbury North

Accommodation: Live-in accommodation available

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- General Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, minor repairs, and upkeep of the estate buildings and grounds, including wood stores, biomass systems, and drainage.
- Animal Care: Feed and care for estate animals, including pigs, goats, dogs, horses and doves.
- Groundskeeping: Maintain pathways, gardens, and communal areas, ensuring they are clean and safe.
- Waste Management: Oversee recycling, bins, and biomass ash removal.
- Seasonal Tasks: Prepare the estate for seasonal changes, including clearing drains and maintaining heating systems.
- Guest Liaison: Welcome guests and ensure their stay is comfortable by addressing any queries or issues during their visit.
- Support for Events: Assist with event preparations and clean-up.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Practical experience in property or estate maintenance.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
- Friendly and approachable demeanour for guest interaction.
- A love for people, animals and working outdoors.
