Senior Team Leader:
The role of the Senior Team Leader includes the effective management of specific operational processes, resource and people within the Logistics team. You will provide an excellent customer experience for all internal and external customers within agreed objectivesand SLA’s and drive change through a continuous improvement
This role reports to the Operations Manager
What you’ll be responsible for as a Senior Team Leader:
- To lead, support, motivate, train, develop and performance manage the operational Logistics team members, working across multiple shifts 7 days a week (including bank holidays) to ensure Logistics Operational objectives are met through effective management.Ensure all people management activity is expedited as quickly as possible in line with policies and procedures.
- To provide operational delivery of all Health & Safety and housekeeping requirements ensuring a safe and clean environment for all staff and visitors on the Logistics sites.
- To achieve all production, compliance targets and SLA’s ensuring the most cost effective use of resource and services. To be flexible with start/finish times of shift in order to plan the day and provide accurate details for handovers for colleagues. Respondto adjustments in production plans and assign resource accordingly
- To deliver the departmental budgets through effective manpower planning, performance management. Review performance of area of responsibility and provide weekly cost analysis.Review and respond to direction to investigate trends in MI
- To deliver quality management through the Right First Time programme
- To actively support the company values program throughout the Logistics division, demonstrating use of company behaviours.
- To identify process improvements and support implementation through the use of lean six sigma methodology to ensure the logistics operation is efficient and flexible to meet our customer demands.
- Any other duties required by the line manager that are appropriate with the post, grade and level of responsibility of this role, for which the role holder has the necessary experience and/or training.
What you will need to succeed as a Senior Team Leader at N Brown:
- To be successful in this role you will ideally be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and preferably have a proven track record of management within warehousing and distribution
- You will be a great team player with good communication skills
- Analysis
- you will be able to identify key areas for improvement by using your financial acumen
