**Finance Assistant**

R&G Fluid Power Ltd are a PLC backed acquisitive group based in Preston and are looking for a Finance Assistant after successfully acquiring numerous businesses in recent years. To name a few within our Group, we have Century Hose, Millennium Engineering, Pearson Hydraulics and Pennine Pneumatic Services.

Due to the successful growth of the Group, the finance department is continuing to expand.

The finance function is led by a highly experienced finance professional with a strong track record of successfully supporting businesses to achieve their strategic goals and drive growth. The group is establishing finance function which can support the growth activities of the group.

**About the Role**:

- This role will be fast paced, so you will need to have excellent end to end transactional account experience which will enable you to hit the ground running. Your duties will include, but are not limited to
- All aspects of sales and purchase ledger
- Credit Control
- Liaising with our sales team regarding overdue debtors and outstanding queries
- Production and distribution of sales invoices
- Posting daily cash
- Weekly bank reconciliations;
- Processing employee expense claims and processing credit cards;
- Matching and coding of purchase invoices;
- Payment runs;
- General accounts administration and office duties

**What we need from you**:

- At least 2 years’ experience in an end to end transactional role
- Good account system experience, including Sage and Excel
- An organised approach that can work to the requested time frames
- Enthusiastic and open minded to new procedures and systems
- Due to location a driving licence would be advantageous
