Our Data Governance Team within the Chief Data Office, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the Bank’s data is robust, accurate, consistent, and compliant with the Bank’s Policies and Standards. This involves helping implement the Data Governance Framework, setting the business definitions of all data, defining and monitoring quality standards and identifying the strategic remediation tasks for improving the quality of data.

We have two permanent opportunities for Data Specialists to join the team at an exciting time as we continue to invest in our tech and data landscape. The Data Specialists will ensure that our data asset is reliable, understood, useful and trusted for all to use - for customer, operational, management and analytical purposes. You’ll act as a conduit between the data teams and the business area you’re aligned to support with data quality issues.

**What would your day look like?**
- Acting as a conduit between the business area and the Data Governance and Data Quality team in relation to all aspects of Data Management
- Subject matter expert, familiar with the systems, processes and requirements of the business lines
- Sits within the Data Governance team, providing support and partnering activities to dedicated business-line or function
- Best placed to disseminate information and change, and to optimize communications between data functions and specialist areas
- Proactively work with the business areas and data management roles within each business area to coordinate and manage of data controls and checks including DQ issues, SLAs, OneTrust maintenance, IARS, DPIAs, etc.
- Support risk management and risk events in relation to data
- Awareness of the usefulness and commerciality of accurate and comprehensive data, as well as security requirements

**What do we expect of you?**
- Understanding of Data Management Principles - DAMA or equivalent
- Passion to drive improvements and business understanding through the importance of Data
- Understands where data issues can affect the robustness of data and identify remediation of the data issues
- Proven ability to collate, interpret and present data related issues and reporting at all levels
- Proven confident communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build relationships across different teams and departments with great collaboration skills
- Prove planning, organisation and time management skills, along with good attention to detail
- Proven logical thinking and problem-solving skills
