**Your Role & Responsibilities**:

- Sort and organise incoming food donations according to expiry dates and storage requirements.
- Assemble and pack food parcels according to staff instructions and standardised checklists.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all food storage and packing areas, in line with food hygiene procedures.
- Help monitor stock levels and assist with food stock rotation to ensure items are used in order of expiry.
- Label and categorise food items appropriately to support efficient packing and distribution by staff.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement, donations received and items used in parcel preparation.
- Follow manual handling guidelines when lifting and moving food boxes.
- Work closely with staff and other volunteers to ensure smooth and efficient behind-the-scenes operation of the Food Bank.
- Participate in relevant training provided by The Roberts Centre, including safeguarding and health and safety.

**Who We’re Looking For**:

- Basic understanding of food hygiene or willingness to complete training.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. manual handling, safeguarding).
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a back-of-house role without direct contact with service users.
- Good communication skills and a helpful attitude.
- Friendly, approachable, personable and honest.
- Respectful of confidential and sensitive information.
- Positive, respectful and helpful attitude.
- Physically able to assist with lifting and manual tasks.
