Maintenance Operative

**Maintenance Operative** who is happy to get their hands dirty, has an eye for detail and can use hand tools (spanners, screw drivers, ratchet sets etc.) is required to visit Petrol Stations and maintain the working condition of their Car WashSystems.

**FULL TRAINING PROVIDED**

The company will provide full training. However, you will need at least basic DIY skills. Any basic plumbing skills would also be great, although not essential.

**SALARY**:up to £22,092 per annum (£10.62 per Hour) + Company Van + Benefits (Full Details Below)

**LOCATION**:You will cover sites throughout East Anglia, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire

**JOB TYPE**:Full-Time, Permanent

**WORKING HOURS**:40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday

Possible weekend working available (not compulsory) if required by the company on a pre-agreed overtime basis for which premium rates are paid.

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Maintenance Operative who is happy to get their hands dirty, has an eye for detail and can use hand tools (spanners, screw drivers, ratchet sets etc.).

Working as the Maintenance Operative you will visit petrol forecourts throughout your territory to jet wash and clean the car wash bays. This will also involve topping up the chemicals used in the car wash systems and checking for any leaks in the waterreclaim system, repairing pipework when required.

**DUTIES**

As the Maintenance Operative your duties include:

- Carry out major and minor reclaim services in accordance with the related work instruction and completing the appropriate paper work
- Carry out bay cleaning to the standards as set out in the related work instruction and complete all appropriate paper work
- Carry out chemical top up as instructed by the Operational Planner in accordance with the relevant work instruction and completing the appropriate paper work
- Carry out checks to the equipment in the plant room in accordance with the care check list
- Maintain the cleanliness of the wash bays in accordance with the care check list
- Carry out test washes on car wash and check/replenish chemical levels to the machine in accordance with the care check list
- Undertake basic repairs, adjustment and replacements of hand held equipment components with a view to maximising equipment availability and the quality of the customer offer

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**ESSENTIAL**
- Hold a current, full driving licence
- Must be good with your hands and be able to use hand tools (spanners, screwdrivers, ratchet sets etc.)
- Happy to get your hands dirty
- Flexible with travelling to sites spread across your defined area
- Excellent communicator with both Line Manager, customers and across departments
- Have a positive, 'can do’ approach to the role
- Ability to work to set routine independently with the ability to take initiative
- Understand what it is to be an Ambassador of the Company

**DESIRABLE**
- Has an engineering background would be desirable, although not essential as training is provided
