Weekend Front of House Supervisor

Hot Numbers Coffee Ltd is a vibrant and independent coffee roasting business serving fresh and exciting food at our three busy cafés in Cambridgeshire

We are looking for a Weekend Front of House Supervisor. You will need to work cohesively with the rest of the team and will be responsible for directing and delegating tasks to your team members to ensure the Company's key goals are maintained. This includes excellent customer service, café cleanliness, and speciality coffee. You will be expected to lead by example, always upholding high standards across all your responsibilities. Your Line Managers in this role are the Café Manager and Assistant Café Manager.

**Main duties and skills**:

- Work with the Managers to assist in the running of the café, such as: placing orders, dealing with any customer complaints, and organising breaks.
- To act as the point of contact for staff in the absence of the Manager/Assistant Manager and always upholding high standards across all your responsibilities.
- To motivate and work well within the front of house team, delegating tasks and ensuring an excellent level of customer service is delivered by all members of staff.
- To give honest feedback on staff performance (positive or negative) to the Café Manager.
- As a keyholder, the Café Supervisor will be responsible for unlocking and locking up the store including checking all windows and doors are properly locked, closing the tills at the end of the day, and ensuring all opening and closing tasks are completed to a high standard.
- To be able to lead trial shifts with potential new staff when required.
- Maintain good stock control, placing, and accepting orders, ensuring the correct storage and levels of stock.
- Organisation of the shift and the staff to ensure the daily and weekly cleaning schedules is completed to a high standard.
- Take pizza pre-orders over the phone.
- Organise the smooth running of customers collecting their pizzas.
- Maintain an excellent level of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene.
- Ensuring Health and Safety policies, processes and safe working practices are followed by all staff and SSBB standards are followed with.
- Understand and comply with company fire procedures, and be able to communicate this to staff and customers.
- Know who the allocated first aiders are and what to do in an emergency.
- Carry out other duties on a regular or ad hoc basis as required or directed to by the Management team.
- Have the ability to resolve problems promptly.

**Availability and hours of work**:
The successful applicant would be looking to dedicate at least 6 months to the role due to our employee on-boarding training program here at Hot Numbers. Unfortunately, if you have plans to travel or study this role is not for you. Evening and weekend availability is a must. Our Weekend Supervisor contracts are a minimum of 22 hours spread across a Friday and Saturday evening, and a Sunday day time. This role is weekends only with the option for extra hours during the week if necessary. A usual working week would consist of 3 shifts.

Friday: 2pm-9pm, Saturday: 2pm-9pm and Sunday:10am-6pm
