**Your new role as Loan Manager**:
Duties will include:
Summarising lengthy loan agreements & documentation, extracting deliverables, understanding sub-clauses and then passing to Operations team

Reading & understanding legal documents, particularly around priority of payments

Acting as the conduit between the borrower & the lender. Ensuring the Borrower understands the obligations of the loan agreement & making sure the needs of their lenders are met in line with the loan agreements.

Management of a commercial real estate loan portfolio

Supporting the Operations team with interest rate & fee calculations as well as payment collection dates

Collection & analysis of borrower reporting (rent rolls, operating statements & covenants)

Preparation of investor & lender reports

Managing the loan closing process and ensuring loan closing checklists are accurately maintained and updated

Maintaining the preparation of loan summaries and task trackers

Liaising with various external bodies such as asset managers, property managers, project monitors, valuers, and solicitors

Preparation of payments from borrowers' accounts and payments from the company accounts to lenders.

Ad-hoc project related tasks

**The Experience & Qualifications Required**:
Experience of reading basic loan documentation

Good numeracy & financial skills - need to be able to check interest calculations are correct

Intermediate Excel - SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables. Ability to use complex formula structures to add up a column.

Relationship management skills. You should have a good way / pleasant manner with people.

You could have either worked in Banking as a Relationship Manager / Assistant Relationship Manager / Portfolio Manager, or you may have started off your career in Accounting & Finance and you're now looking to build on these skills to take your career ina different direction. You may have your Chartered Institute of Banking or CIMA Qualification, but these are not pre-requisites. Prior Purchase Ledger experience would be of benefit as would experience of dealing with supplier queries.

Managerial experience would be a bonus but not essential

A salary of between £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
