Dawson Levy are proud to be recruiting for a Facilities Auditor to work over the south west of England for a global consultancy.

**About the job**

We are seeking to appoint a Facilities Management Consultant to join our established FM Consultancy team to work on a variety of public and private sector commissions in the South West of England.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Take the lead on FM commissions with a professional and diligent approach.
- Ensure that programmes are agreed, targets set, and deadlines achieved.
- Work within good practice FM systems and controls.
- When required, work with other consultants in the delivery of FM Consultancy commissions.

**COMMISSION AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

To undertake a variety of hard and soft FM related roles, including but not limited to:

- Strategic FM service reviews.
- Auditing and monitoring of service delivery of 3rd party FM contractors.
- Commercial appraisal and benchmarking of client FM expenditure.
- Establishing the strategy for clients' future FM service provision.
- Preparing specifications for FM services based on and incorporating applicable British Standards and industry best practice.
- Preparing pricing models and schedules for FM services.
- Preparing contract and tender documentation for FM services.
- Administering and analysing tenders for hard and soft FM services, where applicable in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to clients throughout and following the completion of commissions.
- Provide regular client updates as part of commission management.
- Manage and coordinate minor works / FM projects.
- Working with all members of the business across regional offices and commissions at all levels.
- Liaising with Industry bodies with regard to best practice, training & development.

**Qualifications & Memberships**

Ideally, the Facilities Manager will have a relevant degree or similar qualification. In addition, they will also hold a relevant professional membership, such as RICS, CIBSE or IWFM certification and/or IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH certification.

**Skills**
- Recognisable technical ability including IT literacy and planning software and processes.
- Good operational, oral, and written communication skills, including report preparation
- Good overall commercial awareness, with the ability to successfully manage budgets on behalf of clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strong client facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and to use own initiative in order to resolve commission issues, being able to evaluate the correct course of action, taking decisions where necessary to drive a commission forward.
- Well organised in approach and showing good attention to detail.
- Able and willing to work across different sectors within the industry, with skill sets that are adaptable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build client relationships.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Experience within the Facilities Management sector and technical service delivery of both hard and soft FM services.
- A good understanding of the technical aspects of building operations covering both hard and soft FM services.
- Knowledge of project management techniques such as risk management and programme management, together with a good knowledge of contracts
- Experience of regularly leading meetings, providing an overall focus point for commissions.
- Ability to plan work ahead to ensure successful commission delivery and to meet clients' expectations.
- Knowledge in engineering/mechanical/electrical would be desirable.
