**Location**:We are based in the North-West of the UK, with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bolton & Southport and also have 1 office down south in Cambridge, although we offer hybrid working, enjoying the benefit from working from home, and attending the office to work and collaborate with colleagues.

**Main Responsibilities for the role**:

- Leading a team to maximise its objectives and deliver excellent standards of performance.
- Some aspects of people management for the team (with input from Heads of Department).
- Ensuring that the legal/technical elements of the case conduct processes are maintained to the highest standards of efficiency, integrity and customer care.
- Conducting technical file reviews and offering supervisory guidance/instruction.
- Knowledge sharing with the team by way of supervision, training and case clinics.
- Work in effective collaboration with other Team Leaders and Heads of Department to ensure standardisation of approach, learning and the smooth transition of cases and team working.
- The successful applicant will also have conduct of a of a diverse caseload of multi-track or intermediate track matters valued up to £100,000, including RTA, EL, PL and OL work and should have a proven track record of success in serious injury personal injury work.

**Accountable for**:

- Providing inspirational leadership to teams, including recruitment, motivation, training and supporting of team members.
- Ensuring the progression of all cases in the team up to the point of settlement.
- Ensuring the team provides outstanding service to customers.
- Ensuring the teams financial performance KPIs are delivered and maintained**.**
- Significant experience of handling serious injury claims and litigation experience.
- Sound knowledge of the CPR, litigation process and cost budgeting process.
- Experienced at dealing with a diverse range of liability scenarios including EL/PL as well as RTAs and multiple defendants.
- Proven KPIs in fees recovery, time recording and client care.
- Inspirational leader of people and teams.
- Excellent people and client care skills; a sensitive and professional approach always.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- A commercial approach to litigation and case progression.
- Willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines.
- Flexible in working hours and able to travel.
- Good IT skills, especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages. Previous experience of Proclaim is preferable but not essential.
- Able to liaise and work well with other integral teams across the business.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- A strong track record of thinking and acting commercially in a legal environment.
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A willingness to put forward ideas and to engage in brand development, networking events and marketing.

**Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience**:

- Experience of the Proclaim case manage system would be desirable.
- Driving licence.
