**Salary**: £34,032

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Managing the supplier responsibilities during delivery, installation and commissioning of key equipment on the ship
- Working with Engineering, Operations and Quality to deliver equipment from suppliers that meets our specification, quality, schedule and cost requirements
- Leading multi discipline activities - e.g., weekly project reviews with suppliers, Factory Acceptance Tests of equipment, quarterly business reviews, in yard supplier visits etc
- Managing the contract with each supplier including managing delivery of agreed milestones, negotiating supplier contract changes and investigating and resolving claims for delay or poor performance
- Using the ERP system to manage Purchase Orders and other deliverables
- Reporting monthly and quarterly on cost and schedule performance
- Leading on cost by actively pursuing cost reduction or cost avoidance activity, often requiring multi stakeholder buy-in

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Experience of direct procurement in similar complex environments - e.g., automotive, aerospace, energy infrastructure, rail etc.
- Experience of managing complex contracts in a delivery phase
- Comfortable and able to communicate and influence at many levels - from shop floor to senior management

This role will be focussing on People, Process and Tools, helping shape the Procurement Team utilising innovative tools, change management techniques to influence the and the direction this team goes.
