**Purpose of the Role**

Hugh J Boswell are seeking a new Managing Director to be responsible for building and growing the business with the objective of delivering long term revenue growth and profitability. This will include generating new sources of income, implementing provensound business practices and exploring new and existing business opportunities whilst at all times ensuring compliance with the wider group and regulators practices and procedures.

As a proven leader in your local market, you will need to deliver our broking message but staying ahead of our competitors, analysing market trends and performance MI and imparting business strategy by effectively leading your Management Team.

**What you will do**

Collaborating with your leadership team and the Ethos Broking Senior Leadership team, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more;
- Create a culture of strategic excellence, encouraging others to think long-term, developing strategic advantage and building and maintaining an inorganic pipeline of acquisition targets and delivering a successful integration of acquired assets
- Lead the Senior Management team and their team members to create and implement strategies and goals
- Own a financial budget providing monthly updates, identifying growth opportunities and action plans to your Regional Managing Director,
- Creates annual plans that support strategic direction correlating with operating budgets.
- Demonstrate an active approach, willingness to be involved in order to increase the business pace and to achieve goals and objectives.
- Create and lead an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale.
- Take responsibility for ensuring the Company complies with its obligations under the regulatory systems and meets the reporting requirements to the FCA;
- Be responsible for the implementation and oversight of Conduct Framework, ensuring the activities are aligned to the FCA rules and Guidance;
- Ensure the company has appropriate systems and controls to ensure that all personal data (including customer and employee data) held by the company is held securely and properly utilised in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation.

**What essential experience would make you a success in this role?**

You will need to have previous experience working at a senior level within a brokerage. We are seeking a strong strategic thinker who is used to leading their local teams by example but also working with wider business operations including Operations, Finance,HR and Compliance.

You will need to understand the practicalities of integrating acquired business.

As a senior role, you will be provided with levels of autonomy that go hand in hand with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

You will be a self-starter who can multi-task, demonstrate energetic motivation, empower teams and drive others to achieve their best potential and results.

You will need to show evidence of motivational and effective leadership and the ability to make changes where needed but importantly taking others on the journey and not leaving them behind.
