**Introduction**:
Our client is an established, successful and customer focussed financial services provider and are recruiting for an experienced leader to join the organisation as their Head of Technology & Change. As the company is a relatively small organisation (circa.50 users), a hands-on approach is required gained from working in an SME type business at some stage, alongside excellent people management skills.

The main purpose of the role is to lead, manage and develop their IT function as well as lead the delivery of a major change project and any subsequent change projects as the needs of the business evolve. You will be thus appointing and managing suppliersof Change and IT services.

**Key responsibilities of the Head of Technology & Change**:

- Lead the IT teams & Change teams, with a focus on delivering value for their customers in all activity
- Ensure delivery of all change projects to required quality, within budget and time
- Ensure a robust change management function is in place including testing, approvals, training, team communications and engagement, and product rollout
- Create an internal project team for future change management
- Build and deliver the IT strategy, maintaining a strong IT management framework

**Skills & Competencies required for the Head of Technology & Change**
- Experience in a financial services environment is imperative, ideally within insurance, pensions or investments
- Experience in the latest trends and best practice in Change delivery, IT systems and software
- Project delivery skills and experience
- Leadership skills and proven ability to set up a Project Management function and lead complex change
- Experience of managing a complex virtualised server environment
- Experience of managing a formal software development environment
