**Data Analyst
6-month contract
Edinburgh**
We are looking for data analyst to come in on a 6-month contract to collect, organise and study meta data and data to provide business insight. In this role, you will:

- identify, collect, and migrate meta data and data to and from a range of systems
- define methods, standards, and processes to manage, clean, abstract and aggregate meta data based on analysis of business processes which originate and reuse data and metadata
- define meta data standards and rules for reuse which manipulate and link different meta data and data assets
- summarise and present metadata data standards and methods in the most appropriate format for users

**Essential Skills, Competences, Relevant Qualifications and previous Experience required**
- Able to manage information, data, and meta data from a strategic perspective, ensuring that appropriate standards, policies, processes and procedures are developed and have been applied across the project
- Able to undertake and instruct strategic information and data modelling, focusing on metadata models and standards for representation and reuse of data across business processes
- Experience of engaging with multiple stakeholders to support digital transformation initiatives, analysing how users, processes and technology interact to form the components of a service
