As we enter a period of growth, we are actively recruiting Mechanical Workshop QC Inspector. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week and is site-based.
**Main Duties**:
The Mechanical Workshop QC Inspector will be required to:
- Inspect parts and assemblies with reference to mechanical drawings, assembly procedures and assembly check lists as appropriate at various stages of assembly and redress.
- Witness function and qualification tests.
- Inspect assembly documentation and certification to ensure they are complete, relevant and accurate.
- Inspect for and assess potential wear and damage to components and assemblies, for example through dimensional and visual checks.
- Compile inspection reports and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Where required, and in compliance with company Quality Assurance procedures, action concession requests and non-conformance reports in relation to mechanical product inspections.
- Co-ordinate Client / Customer onsite Third-party Inspection.
- Review / sign off inspection packages.
- Control & maintain calibration records of workshop equipment (Gauges, Hoses, Transducers, Tiny temps etc.)
**Required Skills & Experience**:
Our Mechanical Workshop QC Inspector will require the following knowledge and/or experience:
- QC inspection processes & procedures.
- Five years of experience as a Mechanical QC Inspector preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience of oilfield downhole electro-mechanical tools preferred.
- Ideally experienced in operating database systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organised with an eye for detail.
- PC literate, in particular the use of Quality software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent ability interpreting engineering drawings and Bills of Material.
- Ideally qualified to NC level in a relevant engineering discipline, with secondary education including English and Maths at Grade C or above as a minimum.
