Denholm are excited to be working with a leading retail and restaurant business with stores across the UK. They are looking for a Safety Manager to join the team where you will be responsible for the management and completion of systematic and consistent auditingprocess of all stores. Location is flexible with hybrid working option available.

The role:
Working with store teams to monitor and assist their quest for full safety compliance, you will drive a positive safety culture within stores. Some key responsibilities include:

- Deliver consistent approach to monitoring standards across our restaurants, concessions and retail centres.
- Drive a positive safety culture throughout stores with key focus on continuous improvement.
- Driving and developing further a best-practice safety culture across our expanding nationwide portfolio, working very closely with our Retail Operations, Property and Restaurant teams.
- Conduct food safety and health and safety audits across breadth of UK.
- Support stores to drive actions and improvements through a variety of methods.
- Audit all in-store butchers twice per year and agree actions and approve/influence corrective action completion.
- Support the Head of Safety in analysing data and compiling reports for CSO.
- Write and review relevant safety documentation across the business as required.
- Provide advice to stores on compliance to policies covering the areas of food safety and health and safety.
- Monitor compliance of foodhalls to Cooksafe documentation and policies
- Development of safety systems and auditing tools to give greater visibility to relevant stakeholders of store compliance.

Experience we are looking for:

- Proven experience in a similar auditing or food/health and safety role.
- An ability to communicate, collaborate and engage across all levels of a business.
- Diploma or degree in Food Science/Safety is advantageous.
- Membership of CIEH/IOSH or equivalent is desirable.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, including data analysis and risk management.
- High level of flexibility due to requirement to travel throughout UK and possibly further afield.
