On this journey to eliminate waste we provide waste collection services to the Commercial & Industrial, Office, Leisure & Retail and Construction industries. Collecting waste with our fleet of Trade Refuse, Skip, Tipper, Grab and Walking Floor articulated vehicles, we transport materials to our material recycling facilities where we produce and recover valuable products such as metals, cardboard, paper, washed sands, biomass for energy and animal bedding.

We are now recruiting for a Waste Site Banksman to join our team based at our Yard 2 Site in Dalkeith. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate all HGV vehicles, Plant Machinery and other movements on the site in a safe and efficient manner.

This position will pay a highly competitive hourly rate of £11.00 per hour for the first 8 hours, with overtime paid at time and a half Monday to Friday, and all day on a Saturday. The average working week is approx 50 hours, but additional hours may be required around business needs.

**Key Responsibilities of the Waste Site Banksman role**:

- Organisation of site operatives and clear instruction of their duties
- Ensuring vehicles enter and exit the site, and are loaded/tipped in an efficient and safe manner
- Understanding and monitoring the traffic management system and working plan of the yard
- Work alongside Site Manager to minimise on site accidents
- Accident and Near-Miss reporting, and investigations carried out
- Reporting of machine and plan defects
- Ensure visitors to the site abide by site processes, rules and PPE requirements
- Ah-hoc duties around the site
