We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Procurement Specialist to join our Portsmouth based Procurement team. You will facilitate the day to day running of the Procurement department and communications both internal and external. Taking the leading role in managing our systems and processes, and producing meaningful management information from the data at your disposal, identifying areas of over-spend, out of contract spend, and opportunities to consolidate supply. You will be assisting the wider team by supporting with RFPs, and drawing on your previous experience you will be drafting and reviewing supplier contracts and suggesting red-line mark up’s for approval. 47,000 trade members and growing, this is an exciting time to join us and grow your career

**Location**: Portsmouth. Hybrid working applies. 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

**Where do you fit in?**

Reporting to the Head of Procurement your role will be two fold; taking the leading role in managing our systems, processes and reporting; and undertaking first line review of supplier contracts ensuring due diligence is completed and providing a mark-up of the contract, its dependencies, our obligations, Data Protection (DP) implications and information security concerns. This includes working closely with Data Protection, Legal, Information Security as well as other internal stakeholders to ensure needs of the business are appropriately represented across our contractual engagements.

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Previous experience in a similar junior procurement role, with sound organisation skills, IT literacy, and a fast learner.
- A sound understanding of contract terms and ability to mark-up suggested amends.
- Adaptable and flexible with resilience and pace to operate in a fast-moving agile digital business.
- A desire to develop the role and progress.
