Procurement Officer -Portsmouth -6 Month Contract - £21 p/h
ARM are supporting a Public Sector organisation with the recruitment of a Procurement officer on an initial 6 month basis.
The Role:
You will work directly with the Procurement Manager but will be required to provide support to procurement professionals and trainee professionals across the team. This supporting role will be vital to ensuring that the service can continue to provide excellentcustomer support whilst still delivering upon key strategic objectives and grasping the huge opportunities for the City that are becoming available through significant levels of central government grant funding.
You will act as the procurement lead officer or as key support as appropriate on major procurement projects. You will also assist customers' progress their projects through the procurement gateway process which underpins corporate procurement governance. Inaddition, you will provide customers with guidance on how to manage their contracts once they have been let.
**Requirements**:

- Ideally CIPS qualified
- Procurement experience is essential
- Understanding of Category Management skills
- Experience of working within governance structures
- Negotiation experience
- Experience of Contract Management
