**With accountability for delivering successful automation projects across the UK and worldwide, you will own the end to end process from identifying the appropriate solution to benefit realisation, supported by a new automation team you will**:

- Use data from the WMS and understand the operational processes to advise which is the right solution for a number of our customers and businesses
- Use your industry network to engage with suppliers and follow the procurement process through to the reliable implementation of benefits
- Implement the chosen solution safely, on time, and to budget
- Transfer your knowledge to the Unipart Logistics team to build our capability in this area.
- Initially the automation projects are expected to be focused on enhancing picking processes, solutions such as AMR’s, AGV’s, Co-bots and Automatic FLT’s. As time progresses other technologies will be adopted to further extend Unipart’s range of capabilities
- Predominantly work within UL Operational Warehouses to retrofit automation, and wherever possible and applicable supporting other areas of the business to design automation into new business solutions
- Bring your knowledge and experience in predominantly manual warehouse environments, where there is passion and enthusiasm to automate key processes in the value stream
- Use the Unipart Way (Unipart’s trusted and proven lean methodology) in your approach and the way you work, and work with various WMS platforms to integrate automation into the solution
**About You**:
Essential:

- Proven experience delivering multiple automation projects (either within an automation supplier or warehouse automation user)
- Proven experience working within the 3PL environment
- Proven experience of integrating automation with WMS and WCS environments such as Blue Yonda & SAP
- Wide ranging knowledge of Automation solutions
- Experience of working with specific automation solutions such as: AMR (autonomous mobile robotics), AGVs, Co-bots, Follow me / fetch robotics, Picking Carousels
- Line management of automation engineers/ project managers
- Green Belt 6 sigma trained
Desirable:

- Experience of managing multiple senior stakeholders across different locations worldwide /or same location with complex structures
- Project Management
- Engineering degree qualification
- Black Belt 6 sigma trained
