**Engineering Facilities Manager - Automotive Logistics**
Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new 2.94m square foot Mercia campus, one of thelargest UK warehouse developments for a single customer.
With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, promising a unique state-of-the-art facility, we require an experienced Engineering Facilities Manager to join us for this prestigious and exciting opportunity.
You will take Facilities engineering to the next level for operations and overall efficiency. This presents an outstanding opportunity for a high calibre Engineering Facilities Manager to transfer knowledge and experience from other or similar previous projects.Taking control of facilities operational requirements for the project working closely with UL and JLR team.
**Engineering Facilities Manager Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with client’s principal contractor, M and E contractors, engineering suppliers, architects, and various departments to lead ambitious and challenging projects.
- Manage agreed budgets and ensure this is not exceeded, both in terms of investment and resource.
- Maintain all relevant records and documentation in accordance with requirements.
- Manage contractors on site to ensure legislative requirements are met and fully satisfied and they meet sites rules and regulations.
- Requirement for line management and day to day support of existing in house Engineering resources at multiple UL sites including Electrical, Mechanical.
- Provide effective communications and ensure all day to day FM issues are being managed effectively and all escalations/issues dealt with appropriately.
- Develop and deploy the strategy for utilising external contract support in order to react to relevant circumstances in resource requirement.
- Ensure work activities consistently meet quality, safety, cost, and delivery specification.
- Health and Safety - ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant H and S process requirements.
- Environmental - ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant Environmental process requirements.

**Engineering Facilities Manager Requirements**:

- Significant experience in a similar engineering facilities management with extensive relevant experience (minimum 8 years’ experience) of managing and controlling high capital facility installation projects
- Project and Site Management
- Experience in analysing, planning, organization and directing facilities implementation, service and support functions
- Good knowledge of the latest regulatory and statutory regulation, the likes of PUWER, LOLER and the H and S acts plus any EU/UK regulations
- Experience of mechanical and electrical projects
- Familiar with running large and complex projects to a very tight timescales and to high standards of site installation

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience and knowledge of different types of fork trucks, material handling equipment, sprinkler systems and storage racking including automation systems will be advantageous or abilities to hit the ground running in learning of key assets
- Exposure to Mechanical and Electrical (M and E) projects
- Proven written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills (MS Office, AUTOCAD, etc.)
- IOSH Managing Safely essential /NEBOSH desirable
