Alexander and James are a leading Sofa Design & Manufacturing company based in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire. We are proud suppliers to the UK's top retailers including SCS and Furniture Village. We are currently recruiting for Supply Chain Support for a 12 month temporary position.

**Roles and responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Office Manager you will assist in the effective operation of the supply and import process from the point of order right to the retail door. You will be responsible for collating customer orders for manufacture, ensuring on-time customer delivery and appropriate capacity utilization. You will be required to efficiently support the Supply Chain functions including materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management and order fulfilment.

**Key responsibilities**:
Daily communication with key factory contacts and our customer supply and buying departments on orders.

Weekly container reports

Collating data from various data sources and inputting into the master sheet

Checking data on production plans to match customer data

Assist with month end stock reconciliations

Highlight any issues or risks that need to be identified

Cancellations and amendments

**Skills required**:
Team player with the ability to perform in a cross-functional team environment

Experience in critical thinking and systems thinking, communication and decision making skills.

High level of attention to detail

Well practiced and professional approach to planning and prioritising.

Excel knowledge is essential

- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

**Experience**:
