**An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a meticulous & articulate Shipping Coordinator working with our Purchasing Manager for our market leading Corporate/Promotional Clothing Company.**
**THE COMPANY**
This well-established company is looking for someone who will help to deliver efficient and sustained business growth and control of the company stock control.
Our warehouse stocks more than 7,000 product lines, available for delivery to our customers across the UK and Europe. We source the best products for the industry from around the world and are seeking a passionate motivated individual to help support our operations team in delivering the best products to the market and the best service to our customers.
The position will be office based in Livingston with the opportunity for some hybrid working. Our warehouse facility is based close to Glasgow which services our UK and European Distributors. We import from China, Pakistan and Bangladesh with approximately 100 full containers per year and we ship to our customers on a daily basis.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Main responsibilities for the Shipping Coordinator role**:
**Stock & Logistics**
- Managing inbound shipments end to end
- working with internal ERP systems to create and manage inbound consignments & maintain shipment dates to ensure accurate stock availability
- recieving stock, managing stock allocation across various channels & inventory invoice posting to maintain accurate payments
- creating and managing inbound consignments, collating shipping documents and laising with freight forwarders
- Updating and maintaining weekly reports. Reporting on current stock levels & expected stock levels based on intake.
- Issuing stock availability (Free to sell) reports.
- Inbound forecast to support warehouses with capacity planning
- Maintaining accurate product information reports to share with key stakeholders.
- Liaising with the suppliers ensuring on time shipments - maintaining production schedules & updating estimated ship dates in line with updates from supplier.
- Monitoring supplier performance - ensuring lead times, priorities and pricing is achieved as agreed.
- Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
- Approving goods to ship from supplier based on required stock priorities & ensuring efficient container utilisation.
- Reviewing and approving product information, barcodes, dimensions etc
- Liaise with freight forwarders to manage all inbound shipments to various warehouses & also direct to customers.
- Obtaining quotes for sea & air shipments. Liasing with forwarders regularly to ensure we are achieving best rates and service.
- Continuously reviewing future sailing schedules available against planned production ready dates
- Receiving and approving supplier bookings ensuring efficient container utilisation.
- Logging and analysis of all freight rates & invoices received
- identifying areas to improve or challenging costs that can be avoided - optimising the procurement process for the organisation.
- Researching potential freight suppliers
- evaluating & comparing offers from vendors, negotiating preferential rates and services.
- Managing the communication between the freight forwarders and warehouses in order to ensure efficent delivery of goods on time and full.
- Liaising with the freight forwarder on arrival report to track goods in transit and provide accurate dates to warehouse & key stakeholders
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition/ on time/ unloaded in timeley manner adhereing to SLAs & as expected
- Communicating cross functionally with key stakeholders to maintain transparency and accurate inventory data is available for all.
- Self-motivated, Strong communicator
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills, strong knowledge of Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy skill
- Previous experience of stock management, multi-SKU’s desirable.
- Preferred experience of Windows “Navision” software desirable.
