**Business Development Manager - Food - World Leading Company**

**REMOTE ROLE - Permanent Role after probation**

**£35,000 -£40,000 per annum**

We are looking to add to our professional team with a **Food Business Development Manager** to our global organisation

The Business Development Manager provides sales & administrative assistance for the growth & development of the Food Profit Centre's business in accordance with the Company certification and testing procedures & service documentations Quality Manual & procedures.

The Business Development Manager supports and contributes to the achievement of defined growth strategic objectives of the Food PC business.

**Key areas of accountabilities**

**Business administration**
- Proactively maintain contacts with prospects customers of trade. The correct and timely handling of information requests from the customers.
- Send out client questionnaires/profiles to potential clients and consultants, where applicable.
- Perform web check on clients to obtain client information on their activities and updating details of clients onto Food database and their status
- Liaise with clients and or consultants and or other company subsidiaries to obtain more information where required by the processes or on direction of the VP Food & Agriculture
- Understand the company product services and its scheme requirements.
- Coordination and processing of national and international tenders
- Proactive development and expansion of networks: consultants, associations and other sales multipliers. Maintaining relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
- Contract negotiation and conclusion on approval from VP Food & Agriculture
- Support VP Food on management of enquiries from company Subsidiaries to ensure consistent replies

**Sales-**
- Organise Sales of company food products and create competitive advantages for company in the market industry.
- Develop and drive sales strategies to increase product awareness by observing the market, competitors, and industry trends.
- Promote company existing food and non-food product services to manufacturers, business to business, retailers, Restaurants, catering etc
- Proactively identify other services that might be relevant to customers, verify with Food VP and advise them accordingly
- Increase penetration of company Food, sustainability and social services with small and large customers and key accounts.
- Provide feedback of key developments and create key strategies and plans to expand competitiveness of company Food services
- Development and expansion of national and international markets as well as selection of suitable partners and distributors within Food & Agriculture
- Analyse budgets, prepare annual budget plans, schedule expenditures, and ensure that the KPI targets are met as per annual set targets by VP Food
- Keep a record of accomplishment of all the financial numbers on the Food P & L and create a monthly sales reports for VP food

**Continuous professional development**
- Stay current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks
- Able to show initiative in continued personal developments for Sales & Marketing related trainings and ability to travel to the training venues for the continued development of assigned key responsibilities

**Skill and Qualification Requirements**
- A university Degree or technical college studies or consultancy, preferably in food manufacturing, retail, audits or sales.
- Professional experience in the food certification audits and account management with a focus on business development
- Knowledge in the processing of requests for quotations (Tender Management)
- Very good knowledge of negotiating and active telephone acquisition
- Economic thinking and action
- Reliable English and any other EU language skills
- Routine handling of the MS Office programs, also in SAP
- Enthusiasm, assertiveness, high self-motivation and initiative
- Safe and sympathetic approach, very high intercultural competence and a strong sense of how to deal with people
- Flexibility and willingness to travel
