**Business Development Manager**

**The Role**:

- To build and maintain a strong pipeline of business, personally focussing on large growth opportunities the business
- To secure personally and lead the team to deliver new business clients and partnerships in line with agreed targets
- Develop and share input to Product development.
- Work as part of the senior management team focusing on business growth and people development
- Br a role model within the team developing individuals sales and customer relationship management skills
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer contact, and provide accurate and timely MI, Planning and Forecasting for profitability and growth of the accounts
- To ensure that all statutory and company regulations are followed to protect clients, colleagues and the business interests of the company
- Adhere to the contents of the Operating Procedure Manual and Business Unit Supplemental Operating Procedure Manual at all times
- Ensure TCF principals are fully understood and applied across all customers
- Development of the business development team through documented attendance at regular 121 sessions, identifying appropriate training and personal development within the CPD framework
- Carry out any additional duties as agreed with your Line Manager
- Commercial knowledge of insurance industry alongside knowledge and ideally experience of setting up and managing affinity partnerships
- Proven knowledge and experience of dealing with key commercial clients and securing new business
- The ability to work well under pressure and thrives in a target-based environment
- Outstanding presentation, relationship building and negotiating skills
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to different styles of communication.
- Experience in leading teams to success
- A real passion for securing new business and growing existing business.
