**Location**: New Malden, London. UK

**About Your Opportunity**:
The Junior Commercial Officer is an entry level role operating in our Commercial team. With appropriate guidance and training from the Commercial Leads and wider team, this role will be responsible for supporting the day to day commercial and contract management activities across NGUK’s Defence & National Security customers, as well as assisting the wider Commercial team on other existing contracts and proposals for programmes spanning multiple sectors, including those within Maritime, Aerospace and Cyber.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- With guidance, lead day to day contract management and administration activities for multi-million pound contracts.
- Support the preparation for negotiation of contracts terms, licence terms, scope and pricing, recognising the risk trade-off, working closely with the relevant Commercial team members, Programme Manager, Business Development Manager, Finance Team and Supply Chain Lead and working within approvals
- Engage with and support the legal review of contract terms and conditions
- Support the wider Commercial team with higher value, complexity and strategically significant proposals and negotiations

**Your Experience and Skillset**:

- Strong commercial aptitude and organisational skills
- Excellent people and communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service
- Relevant degree (such as Law, Business, Economics) or some industry experience desirable
