A fantastic opportunity for a **Junior Designer** with a jerseywear background to join an established supplier of ladieswear to various high street retailers. Creative, young, trend setting, styling fashion background is needed.

**The Role**:

- Designing multi product ladieswear (dresses, tops, t-shirts etc).
- Building and maintaining customer accounts.
- Attending and assisting with design/customer meetings to develop ranges.
- Trend research.
- Production of design specifications suitable for factories to understand.
- Monitoring and evaluating sources of inspiration in the industry and wider markets leading to product opportunities ensuring they are incorporated into the ranges.
- Regularly review competitors.
- Working with buying and merchandising to build the range and understand customer requirements.

**Skill Requirements**:

- Ladies jersey background is essential.
- Creative, young, trend setting, styling fashion background (i.e. Miss Selfridges) is needed.
- Commercially driven with a natural eye for trend, detail, key shapes and colour.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing process and raw materials to develop samples and ranges effectively and to cost.
- Ability to fully understand customer requirements.
- Excellent CAD skills.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines.
