Night Porter

**NIGHT PORTER WANTED**

George Wright Boutique is looking for a Night porter. Duties will include keeping the outside and public areas of the hotel clean and tidy as well as preparing for the following day's events. This will include setting tables, tidying and general maintenance as well as any guests needs throughout the night.

Shift 11pm - 7am, 4 days on 4 days off as agreed with the line manager, to ensure effective staff coverage

**Requirements**:

- Be over 18 and have experience in hospitality
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer and POS proficiency
- Have ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team
- A warm, friendly, and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Operate in accordance with the appropriate Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Service standards

**You will be responsible for**:

- Bar service, Hot drink preparation - coffee and teas
- Cellar management, monitoring inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers
- Ensuring consistent, high-quality beverages are served to customers
- Taking customer orders and Cash handling
- Cleaning other areas as directed by manager and as per nightly checklist which will include washrooms, bar, restaurants, and general areas
- Issuing customer final bill on check out and payments
- Follow delivery guidelines as set out in the Staff Handbook
- Undertake appropriate induction training such as Health and Safety, Food Hygiene
- Undertake duties as presented by their manager to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the restaurant
- Wear the designated staff uniform and maintain it in an excellent condition
- Setting up of function rooms, breakfast area etc.
- Entrance and outside of the hotel and ensure that it is always clean and tidy. This includes emptying bins, picking up rubbish etc.
- Good understanding of the hotels’ fire procedures to always ensure safety of all staff and guests.
- Assist the kitchen with preparation and delivery of quality food and table service.
- Implement and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Deal effectively with customer requirement, complaints, and service issues.
- To undertake all designated duties with enthusiasm, commitment and to a high standard.

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour
