Job Title: Lead Recovery Worker

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals within our properties. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our tenants with specific needs, ensuring their well-being and safety on a daily basis. We have two types of houses within The Silkworth Project; transitional and abstinent. Transitional properties house tenants who are in the criminal justice system, and we support them to move in to recovery. Abstinent properties house tenants who have completed treatment and are in recovery. As Lead Recovery Worker, this role will be based predominantly within the abstinent properties.

**Duties**:

- Weekly drug testing.
- Working with partnership agencies to achieve the best level of support/care.
- Provide personalised support and assistance to individuals that reside within our properties.
- Supervise and monitor tenants to ensure their safety and security.
- Support tenants to attend appointments or meetings as needed; job centre, medical appointments, etc.
- Complete the necessary welfare checks and all relevant documents relating to housing and care support and supervision of the residents who reside in the specific properties you are given by your Line Manager.
- Test all fire alarms weekly and record on notice boards located in every property.
- Report any relevant maintenance issues to the Silkworth Maintenance Team.
- Adhering to the council and Silkworth’s safeguarding policies, complying with the council and Silkworth’s health and safety policies, adhering to the policies given by Silkworth.
- Supporting residents to adhere to Silkworth’s terms and maintaining the property.
- You will be required to manage the out of hours, on call phone one week, every month.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in dealing with people who are/are not in recovery from substance misuse, alcoholism, and mental health problems is preferred.
- Ability to supervise and manage tasks effectively.
- Valid UK Drivers Licence (and access to car is preferred).
- Strong Leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor others where needed.

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
