Junior Photographer with Styling and Retouch Skills

**MAIN PURPOSE**:
A fashion savvy role with the requirement to deliver creative flair and strong commercial awareness on a daily basis. You will work with the shoot team to deliver high quality photography and retouched imagery to challenging daily targets across ecom and campaign for fashion retailers across model, still-life and mannequin. You will have excellent attention to detail and can work confidently with an easy ability to multitask. This role requires flexibility on a daily basis - you will be predominantly on set reporting to the photography lead but will be required to self-style flat-lays and retouch when the business requires.

**SPECIFIC TASKS**:

- Working to deadlines and targets set by the Production team, you will be following individual clients own style guides to shoot consistently across online and campaign imagery.
- Ensure your target is met as well as making sure that quality is in line with the brand guidelines.
- You will be trained and supported by the Lead Photographer across all disciplines - mannequin / table-top / model / still-life.
**PHOTOGRAPHY;**
- Shoot a rail of 30+ products on set per day, client and brief dependent, setting up lighting and capture settings to deliver under guidance of other photographers in team until confident.
- Familiarise yourself daily with the client tracker, to accurately pace your day to cover the required volume. Complete all necessary administration work to finalise job.
- Code all products during day by product codes / client brief.
- Ensure your own sets daily target is met as well as making sure that the photography is in line with the various brand guidelines.
- QC your own work against styled guides at the end of day to deliver 100% accurate images to pass on to the retouch team. Any reshoots required due to errors will be required to be redone first thing following day without impacting on next days numbers.
- Color match product using daylight checker, process end of day and upload to server for retouch team along with tracker and pdf.
- Proactively seek guidance to improve your lighting on set and efficiencies to deliver best practice.
- Follow trackers and records of numbers and volumes provided by production team accurately to ensure both clients, retouch and accounts team can clearly identify chargeable volume.
- Balance client briefs with creative flair.
- Self-style flat-lay shoots and mannequin.
- Main campaign shoots - assistance on set to lead photographer.
- Set-build assist for campaign shoots and lighting set up assist for all shoots.

**RETOUCH;**
- Retouch allocated images per day completing all images briefed to a high standard.
- Ensure colour consistency across imagery is exact through colour matching checks in retouch.
- Name and maintain digital assets file / structure per client.
- Back up and save all imagery once complete on a daily basis.
- Upload to client servers / wetransfer and dropbox as briefed.
- Proactively seek guidance to improve your techniques and efficiencies.
- Communicate any concerns or issues with workflow to Lead Retoucher and assist with providing solutions.
- Maintain state of orderliness in studio for impromptu client visits and general house-keeping standards - always leaving set tidy end of day.
- Demonstrate studio flexibility in accordance to seasonal and business demands. Able to multitask and assertively work independently, capable of balancing ad-hoc projects with daily duties.
- Ensure standards of core jobs are maintained even in very busy periods.
- Interest in photography and potential ability to stand in for photographer if required (with training).
- Actively seek to widen knowledge of clients

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**:

- Previous photography, styling and retouching experience in a commercial environment
- Fluent in adobe creative suite, advanced photoshop essential
- Fluent in Capture 1
- Strong knowledge of fashion brands and designers, interest in furthering knowledge
- Excellent work ethic
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and consistently display exceptional eye for detail
- Pro-active and able to show initiative and ideas to elevate the studio’s production routine and shoot results
- Able to work as a team in an environment with high pressure, multiple deadlines and manage client/studio expectation

**Salary**: £17,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
