Nursery Apprentice

Country Day Nurseries is a large rural Day Nursery in Penton Mewsey and we are looking for an Apprentice to join our friendly team. Working throughout the nursery you will undertake your Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare at no cost to yourselves.

Your will work five days a week across the nursery learning all aspects of nursery life being flexible, enthusiastic and having a good sense of humour. We are also looking for a person who is able to work on their own initiative within the setting.

Roles and responsibilities
- To carry out a range of varied activities suitable to the age range of children, alongside other staff
- Engage in positive teamwork
- To be flexible within working practices of the Setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
- Look upon the Setting as a “whole” where can your help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children
- To ensure the Setting continues to be a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development;
- To be aware of the high profile of the Setting and to uphold its standards at all times.
